On the 50th day after implementation of demonetisation, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched application called “BHIM“. Which is useful for digital payment which will facilitate with just a thumb impression of common people of India.

BHIM is stand for “Bharat Interface for Money”. BHIM is rebranded version of UPI and USSD where UPI stand for Unified Payment Interface and USSD is stand for Unstructured Supplementary Service Data.
Modi launches this application in occasion of DigiDhan Mela.
PM Narendra Modi: “In two upcoming weeks, digital payment through use of biometric fingerprint will start in India With the BHIM application, you’ll only require your thumb to pay. In the past, illiterate people were called ‘angutha-chaap’ but now your thumb is your bank. It has become your identity now,”
This app is a tribute to Indian economist Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, the BHIM App is very simple for use and did not require internet connectivity on your mobile phones, PM Modi said.
“Dr Ambedkar’s mantra was to work for the help poor by uplifting them. And the biggest power of technology is that it can empower the poor,” PM modi added.
In this occasion modi did not stop yet He taking a dig at the Congress party and said during the earlier United Progressive Alliance rule at the Center, money has lost in the various scams made news but now the nation is talking about money coming back into the economic system.
“Look at the newspapers, magazine or video from three years back the news was all about what we lost moneys in scams. But today, it is about what has come back or what is the gain,”Narendra Modi said. 🙂
