First of all if you have an android phone then download the BHIM app named as ‘BHIM by National Payment Corporation of India’ from the Google Play store. If you possess any of the windows or iPhone, then you would not be able to download this app, as it does not support these phones.

Steps to use BHIM app

Using BHIM app is as simple as using a ATM card, you just have to follow the simple steps to use it:

How to make and receive payments digitally using BHIM app

1. Install the app and then set a new code:

After downloading and installing the app, select the preferred language and then verify your mobile number by inserting the code send to your number via SMS. Now, set the pass-code which would be the 4 digit number which would help you to open your BHIM app.

2. Add your bank details:

When you are able to open your BHIM dashboard, then link it to your bank account in order to receive and transfer funds. Remember that BHIM app allows you to add only one bank account unlike other UPI apps, which facilitates multiple banking accounts. You may also change the account details anytime by refreshing the entire procedure.

3. Set up your UPI PIN:

For final verification, UPI PIN is required in order to transfer funds to any bank, which can be set by clicking on Bank account section. In order to change the pin code, you can click on the RESET UPI PIN and update your debit/credit card details for final completion and authentication.

4. Transfer Funds:

Now you are ready to transfer and receive funds to your account via BHIM app. select the – send money link to transfer funds by entering the receiver’s mobile details or the address of the virtual payment. Type the amount you wish to transfer, enter your UPI pin and click on the send button.

You also have the option to transfer any amount by the Aadhaar card number of the payee, but it should be linked with his bank account.

It has become compulsory for every individual to link his bank account with his Aadhaar card and so there won’t be any problem in transferring or receiving funds via Aadhaar number. The receiver has the option to either accept or reject the transferred amount notification, and once confirmed, your payment is done.

    Sir, it’s my humble request to please spread Bhim App QR code stickers among the different shops in the same manner in which Paytm have done by putting their QR code stickers in different shopes.It is the main hurdle in not so much usage of this, amongst the users while payment at various places… Please forward this to respective ministry so that developments will be made in this regards… Thank you..

    Hi i have sent ₹1800 to 8285118655@upi yesterday at 4:16 pm but the transaction is failed. But my account has been debited while the reciever neither recieved the money. moreover There is no’ report issue’ option like other transactions for that transaction. i have only call bank option available..i call the bank but they deny any knowledge for it telling only to report the issue to bhim…pliz help me quickly..i have waited for the account to be recredited for 1 day..

    Please today I have received one call from BHIM sum one +917972564028 around 1.43 pm that time I was just driving motor cycle he I am Colling BHIM your one pending case Rs.500/= a/c Ajay Kumar he said that we will settle your case you will get your refund your money Rs.500/= after he will again call me said as government policy you will get with interest Rs.1298/= you just Open BHIM Payment opsasion ok within shortly credit your a/c But by mistake me it is Debit my a/ c Rs 1298/= as per massage company name APPNIT TECHNOLOGIES PVT LTD at 14.49 P.M Credit ICICI BANK a/c xxxxxx004639 UPI Ref 736214050605 Rs1298.00 I do not understand this type of person how use BHIM App I think your App not save money transfer or using your app this type chaiter origination

    Pls tell me what details of the Recepient are needed. 1. When it mentions mobile number details I dont know what details are they; but if you say the 10 digit mobile numer say xyzab xyzab or the 14 digit mobile number 0091xyzab xyzab it is more or fully clear I think!
    2. Do I need the name of the reciepient? Is there space to enter such info?
    3. Can I transfer funds to a specific a/c number of a specific bank by giving the IFS Code?
